  How Do You Handle Death?

  for most witnesses, the ressurection hope keeps survivors going.

  i knew of some jw's that were in such denial that they would want to believe that "they're just sleeping but are still alive to jehovah.

  " others would bust themselves "in the work", while others would "mourn as the nations do".

  Job Prospect

  hubby and i went to wal-mart yesterday and the manager checked us out.

  got to chat a few minutes with him, told him i put in an application and really needed a job.

  he said to call him monday morning and talk to him more.

  Do you have a 'turning point' memory that started you to question?

  mine was when i was about ten years old or so back in the mid sixties.

  we had a guy in our k.hall who actually lived through the 1914 experience (earl senior).

  he was well into his seventies i guess even then and was one of the annointed.

  now, i can't believe that i justified his actions by saying he must have been trying to give my son a scriptural father figure. (since i had an unbelieving mate).

  when the daytime bookstudy conductor (elder) chastised my 18 month old son in the middle of the bookstudy. he actually stopped the study called out his name and chastised him. he was crawling around my chair and flipping through the bible.

  40 Years Ago Today

  on september 8, 1963 my sister, carmen elizabeth was born.. she was, and would remain the only girl in our family.

  she was so adorable, brown haired, brown eyed and had a great smile.

  she was less than a year younger than i, and we were like the 'best of pals' as kids.. she'd allow me to put beans in her ears, or get her to put peas in her nose or carrots on top of her teeth, and make me laugh.. she was born in cape breton, nova scotia.

  demon possessed things

  has anyone ever possessed something that you'd swear had a demon attached to it?

  we've all been told to watch out for things purchased at flea markets, garage sales.... but did something slip through the cracks and into your home?

  my story goes like this: i live in a historic community my next door neighbor found a small grave in her backyard.

  anyway, maybe a spirit thought it would be fun to pretend to be attached to the pendant for a bit. got bored of playing that game and went on to the next. i agree that 'things' don't hold a spirit, but that's not to say that a spirit (if there are any) doesn't 'hold onto things'. at least for a quick game.
